Fit Wear โ€” Privacy Policy

Fit Wear ("Fit Wear", "we", "us") is a Chrome extension that lets you try on clothes you see on shopping websites, live, using your camera and AI. This policy explains what information Fit Wear uses, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and plain.

Summary

1. Information we use

Google sign-in

When you click Sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and Google account ID with Fit Wear. You approve this on Google's own screen. We use them to:

Your browser keeps your name, email, account ID and a temporary Google sign-in token in the extension's local storage on your computer, so you stay signed in. Signing out removes them.

Camera, microphone and the clothing image

When you click Connect, your browser asks for camera and microphone permission. During a try-on session only:

Fit Wear does not record, save or keep your video or audio, and it never passes through our own server. The stream stops when you click Disconnect, when your time runs out, or when you close the panel. Decart processes the stream under its own privacy policy: https://docs.platform.decart.ai/resources/privacy-policy.

The optional fit hint (body-proportion estimate) runs entirely on your computer. The body-tracking model is downloaded from Google's model hosting, but your camera frames are not sent anywhere for it.

Save image saves a picture of the try-on to your own computer. Nothing is uploaded.

Device ID and free time

Each computer gets 3 free minutes of try-on time in total. To make that work, the extension creates a device ID: a one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) made from basic hardware details your browser can see (graphics chip, number of processor cores, memory size, screen size and timezone). The raw details never leave your computer, only the code does. Our server stores, for each device ID: the free time left, how many sessions have been started, and the Google account ID that first used the free time on that device.

IP address

To stop people from creating many free trials, our server counts how many new free trials start from each internet (IP) address per day. That count is stored with your IP address and is deleted automatically after 2 days. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may also keep short-term technical logs of requests (including IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting.

Payments (when available)

Paid credits and subscriptions are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout page. We send Stripe your email address and Google account ID so the purchase can be added to your account. We never receive or store your card details. Stripe tells our server when a payment succeeds, and we store your credit balance and subscription status. Stripe's privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.

Feedback and comments

If you use the Feedback page (https://tryfitwear.pages.dev/feedback), opened from the extension or our website, we receive what you type into the form: the kind of feedback, your message, the name or nickname you enter, your email address if you choose to give it, and the Fit Wear version number (filled in automatically). The form is run by Google Forms, and the answers are stored in a Google Sheet in Fit Wear's Google account.

After we review a message, we may show it publicly on the Feedback page, together with the name you entered, the date, its status (for example "Fixed") and our reply. We never show your email address. Please don't put personal details in your message. To have a message removed, email fitwearsupport@gmail.com.
